The 19th Annual Appalachian Festival is three big days packed with arts, crafts, entertainment, music, food and fun!

We can't wait to see you in Raleigh County, Friday, August 28 - Sunday, August 30, this festival promises to deliver.

Check out stunning art and crafts lovingly made by more than 100 artisans at the Arts & Crafts Fair. Don't miss the Quilt Show and the Quilter's Country Store! Live Entertainment & Good Food.

Taste of Appalachia is a block party showcasing the flavor & Music of Appalachia in Beckley's Historic District! Taste local cuisine sold by local restaurants and organizations. Enjoy performances by New River Jazz Band, John Covey Cole and Piney Creek Canyon Band.

Lost Cannon Bluegrass Band and Shane Ingram & Friends will perform bluegrass and folk music at Friday in the Park. Lunch food vendors and farmers market vendors will also be there.

For the history buffs (and the brave at heart) take a thrilling Ghost Tour and explore Beckleys haunted sites. It's a 60-90 minute tour.

Take a underground tour of a once-working Coal Mine at the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine. Under the supervision of an experienced veteran coal miner, travel 1,500 feet below ground.

Drop by the Youth Museum of Southern West Virginia and Make-N-Take a traditional mountain craft.

The 18th Annual Oldies Car Show will be at Crossroads Mall. The Classic Car Show will feature more than 100 classic automobiles from the Shady Tree Car Club.

There will be craft demonstrations at Tamarack. David Bragg, Gayle Rancer and Steve Lilly will be there. Sunday @ Two will feature Option 22. Expect to be lifted when you hear this infectious, eclectic Americana groove.

Come to Cynthia Bickey Art Gallery to view a Juried Exhibition 2014.

Ranger on the Rock is a activity that allows you to learn more about nature. You can experience a superb view from the rim at the Main Overlook at Grandview National Park.

The Great Gatsby will be playing at the Raleigh Playhouse and Theatre.

The Raleigh County Public Library will have Music in the Mountains. For children up to age 12, join us for a trip into musical traditions of Appalachia. Create a hand banjo to take the music home and make music with marbles. Register to win a marble tree and a Collection of West Virginia made marbles.

Tour historic Wildwood House Museum. The historic home of Beckley's Founder, General Alfred Beckley. Present your Arts & Crafts Ticket for a free tour.
