| Description: | From Apple Butter Festival Website: Every year in early October, the Salem Apple Butter Festival is held at Depot Park in downtown Salem, drawing young and old alike to watch apple butter being made in open copper kettles over slow burning wood fires. Our rapidly growing festival has become one of the area's most exciting and anticipated events.
In addition to the great selection of arts, crafts and foods, festival patrons can enjoy quilt and apple butter judging, talent contest finals, celebrity auction, auto show, bingo, and much more!
