Fort New Salem Dulcimer Festival

The dulcimer weekend features hands-on music workshops during the day for all levels of players. The workshops will be primarily on mountain dulcimer and hammered dulcimer with additional workshops on other folk instruments. Our workshop leaders/performers are experienced musicians from Ohio, West Virginia and beyond.

General guided tours will occur daily up till concert time. In addition to the musicians, visitors will see various artisans through out the weekend. Scheduled are live demonstrations of blacksmithing, basket making, wood working and more!

There will be concerts on Friday and Saturday evening. The Friday concert will features a more informal approach of listening to great music at a coffee house. It features various work shop leaders.

As a new feature, we will have a food vendor on-site Saturday serving meals from 3 PM to our 7:30 concert. Other vendors will be available throughout the weekend to sell dulcimers and supplies The Fort New Salem Visitor Center & Gift Shop will also be open.
