| Description: | Location: Preston Community Arts Center, PRESTON County "Love Letters", by A.R. Gurney, the show about the lifelong correspondence between steady, dutiful lawyer Andrew Ladd III and the lively, unstable artist Melissa Gardner will be presented in Dessert/Dinner Theater at Preston Community Arts Center, 123 S. Price Street, Kingwood on Friday, February 10. The story gradually unfolds of their bittersweet relationship from what is written, and what is left unsaid, in their letters, revealing a lifetime of love, humor, pain, longing, and truth that will carry you away with delight. Playing Andrew is Tom Peterson opposite his real-life wife, JoAnn Peterson as Melissa. Both Petersons are veteran actors, having performed in productions at West Virginia Public Theatre, as well as in numerous community theater shows. JoAnn is also a first person portrayer of Molly Brown, Mary Todd Lincoln, and Jenny Lind, the latter for the West Virginia Humanities Council History Alive! program. There are have two choices for attending - Dinner and Show for $30 or Dessert and Show for $20. Dinner, catered by Rachel Rerek, is at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. Dessert will be served at intermission to everyone.
