Description: The West Virginia Maple Festival has been held for over 20 years in the tiny town of Pickens, in the beautiful mountains of Randolph County, WV. Many events are planned with a pancake feed, craft show, quilt judging, a variety of vendors and lots of activities and entertainment for all ages. You can tour Richters Maple House and watch the process of turning sap into syrup. Join us for a weekend of activities celebrating this tradition each year on the third full weekend in March! Hours: 9am-5pm Saturday and Sunday. There is a $6 fee for the pancake feed. Event includes an all-day pancake feed, 65 different WV crafters, free WV music, square dance, tours of sugar house, 5k run, woodchopping exhibition, WV wineries, antique gas engines, woodcarving and muzzle loading contest. The Pickens Depot and Roberts-Cunningham Museum are also open throughout the weekend.
